A Mothers Mistakes - Chapter 16

The next several weeks were filled with study, study and more study for Chris. The only good thing was that his mother resumed coming to his room at night. While she wouldn't relent and let them have sex; she did masturbate him every couple of nights. She said it wasn't healthy for a young boy to build up all that sperm.

When Chris took his final exam, he aced it. He was obviously very happy and more than ready to resume his sexual activity with his mother. She had promised that he could do anything he wanted, and he knew just what that was.

Allison was ecstatic about Chris's success as well. She hadn't been sure that denying him sex would work and worried that it would just make things worse. Now, it was obvious that she had been right. She had learned a valuable lesson in the process: sexual denial was a powerful tool to use on a boy. She would file that away for later use.

Chris was silent as he pulled out of the parking lot of the doctor's office. He couldn't believe his mother had shared their secret so readily. On one hand he understood that she needed someone to confide in. However, on the other, it was taking an incredible risk.

"I had to tell her Chris," Allison said.

"I know. I guess it's a guy thing. We like to keep things to ourselves... work them out on our own. I guess it was for the best.

"She can help. I probably shouldn't tell you this, but she is living with her brother."

Chris shrugged his shoulders and said, "So what."

"I mean 'living' with her brother. They have three children together."

Sometime later the two of them were sitting outside on the deck enjoying the warm spring air. Chris had finally told her that he was in danger of failing a class.

"I don't have to tell you how disappointed I am Chris."

"No," he answered.

"I blame myself for this. I have been too preoccupied with what we have been doing to pay attention to your school work."

Chris knew that was coming. "It doesn't have anything to do with that," he lied.

"Of course it does. The question is what do we do about it? Since there is only a few weeks left of school, you don't have much time to make it up. Have you spoken with your teacher?"

"Yes, and he said that if I get a B or better on the test coming up next week and the final exam, I will pass."

A Mothers Mistakes - Chapter 13

Several weeks later Chris was on his way home from school with some bad news. He was in danger of failing one of his classes and was worried about telling his mother. While all of his grades had fallen (without his mother knowing) since they had started their affair, this was the only one that he might really fail. It could possibly jeopardize his scholarship and he knew that she would be sorely disappointed.

The news spoiled a day when he had been excited because of a gift he had purchased for his mother's birthday.

When Chris walked into the house, he was surprised to see his mother home from work and sitting at the table. He could see right away that she was upset and thought that it might be because of her coming birthday. While he didn't think of his mother as old, he knew that turning 39 was sometimes harder for people than the 40th birthday. "What's wrong Mom?" he asked.

Chris was downstairs in the kitchen when his mother came down. She had showered and had on a bathrobe with a towel wrapped around her freshly washed her hair. Chris got her a cup of coffee and sat at the table across from her.

"I guess I screwed up huh?" he said.

"We screwed up Chris. It was as much my fault as it was yours."

Chris almost sighed in relief as he had taken on all the responsibility for what had happened. "What are we going to do? I... I mean... you could get... get pre..."

"I know. It's a particularly bad time of the month too. I need some time to think. It should have never gotten this far." She looked at her son's sad face and her heart melted. She reached over and took his hand. "We'll get through this together. I love you."

"I love you to," Chris returned, staring into his mother's eyes. He added, "But... but not like a son to his mother."
